Photoshop Scale Task 2

The second of the triptych in the scale series is the macro response seen below. It is a biophilic building design taking reference from the works of Stefano Boeri. Boeri is an Italian architect and urban planner, some of his most known projects are the Vertical Forest in Milan, the Villa Méditerranée in Marseille, and the House of the Sea of La Maddalena. The work that inspired and can be seen in this composite is his Eindhoven-Trudo-Vertical-Forest in the Netherlands.

Another inspiration for the composite is MAD Architect's design for the One River North tower in Denver, United States, which began construction in 2021. The tower features a 10-story landscape rift in the building and is primarily a residential tower.

I was drawn to both these projects as I am very partial to the biophilic architectural style. And find myself agreeing with the main principles of both designer's ideals. The MAD founder and principal, Ma Yansong quotes "If we regard modern cities as man-made landscapes on the earth, we need to design canyons, woods, creeks, and waterfalls, transforming concrete forests into second nature," One River North was inspired by the nearby Rocky Mountains, that will be visible from the roof deck.

Boeri promotes the demineralization of urban surfaces and encourages the production and sharing of energy from renewable sources in various forms and scales of design. His design study favours a circular economy and supports the use of materials of natural derivation. Aiming for high levels of certification and guarantee for the healthiness of inhabited spaces or that have high percentages of recycled.
