Fusion 360 - Green Roof modules and GIY Mycelium

A side project I have been working on in the green infrastructure realm is based around nature-based alternatives to plastic GI materials. My focus has been on removing plastic from green roof modules. During the research of my show garden project, I learned about GIY mycelium kits and already knowing the desirable properties of the material I wanted to experiment with it for the specified use to green roof drainage. The current drainage module layer is made of plastic, like every layer in those modules, and something about calling 4-5 layers of plastic green infrastructure simply because you stick a small plant on top of it doesn't sit right with me. 'Good enough' doesn’t cut it in today's climate (literally) and I believe with application, more alternatives to polymer-based materials with specialist purposes are creatable.

The model below was created on Fusion 360 and is the potential frame for a mycelial-based module.  The 3D design is of 1 module in a 5x5 net and would be accompanied by a frame.
