Alphabet series - V

 A slightly more abstract rendition of the letters in this collection, V is in the decorative corner motif where the ceiling turns from a square to an octagon. This side room was one of my favourites in Dar El Bacha, with its insanely ornate detailing and highly saturated and varied colour pallet. Some of the main motifs of Moorish architecture are seen in this room. With elaborate geometric and arabesque motifs in the wood, and tilework. Importantly the notably iconic zellij patterns, made both of mosaic and painted onto the facade.
