Outdoor amphitheatre construction details

Continuing the previous development of the outdoor naturesque amphitheatre, below are some sections. Showing the steps and seating along with the current chosen dimensions and material choice. For the foundational structure, I have chosen to go with gabions as they are easily manoeuvred and provide relatively cheap support and rough form. The sketches also show the concept for the theatre stage, a big aim of this design is to avoid cast in situ concrete, especially in contact with the soil, as the aim of the site is to become a naturalised constructed wetland. Cast in situ concrete also usually involves greater carbon emissions, and can negatively affect the surrounding environment.  Hence, I am aiming to replicate traditional European setts, set in sand and compacted aggregate. This technique also allows the stage to be a permeable surface, assisting in site drainage.
