Tropical Planting Texture Pallet - Eden Project

One of the reasons the tropical biome at the Eden Project was my favourite was its ornamental section comprising a tiered planting bed full of richness in colour and texture. More painting than planting, it has been an inspiration for my own garden at home in Hong Kong, where in the summer I sourced a selection of the identified plants in the local flower market.

Shown in the attached photo are:

- Begonia rex - centre - the painted leaf begionia
- 3 Fittonia albivenis cultivars - top, centre and bottom right
- Tradescantia zebrina 'Violet' - top centre - silver inch plant
- Pteris cretica var. albolineata - left - variegated Cretan Brake Fern
- Pilea spruceana - top centre
