Materiality and Transitional Space

Attached is an image of a decorative fence-to-bridge handrail transition that stuck with me. I am particularly partial to the multi-liner textured composition and blend of hard and soft materials, and the general successful clean aesthetic they produce.  Unsurprisingly this photo was taken at Jurong Lake Gardens in Singapore this summer.
