Alney Island Festival Poster - Ælla

 Part of the first semester Design Project included a marketing and branding strategy for the festival site on Alney Island in Gloucester. I chose to conceptualise a Music and Arts Festival celebrating the region's sociocultural history and context, looking at the Goddess Hafren, of the River Severn, as the site is fully bordered by water. Below is a poster I created on Procreate using a mixture of digital painting and collage. It had been a long time since I'd drawn a human figure so the process was interesting to remember, sad to say, hands are still just as difficult as they were when I was an Art student. However, I am pleased with how it turned out as a finished piece. If I were to continue it I would spend more time on the left hand as the outlines are very visible, but overall it conveys the message I intended.
