Mixed Media - RHS Wentworth Woodhouse

The panting scheme for my group's Wentworth Woodhouse Longborder was based off a mixed media painting I created. The concept of painting with plants has been mentioned copiously in lectures and by other landscape professionals I have worked with, and I wanted to experiment with taking that literally. The painting provided the spatial layout for the colour blocking, and the planting palette was composed due to each species' texture, size and hue. It was an incredibly fun palette to create and compose with, and I am happy to say that as a group we were accepted into the Longer Borders category allowing us the opportunity to actualise the scheme.
