Car Park Detailing
Below shows the sketches working through the finalisations for the Folley car parking detailing. Involving the addition of A142 High Tensile Steel Reinforcement Fabric Mesh in an RC25/30 Concrete base. The A142 is manufactured to BS448. The Hydro Lineo grassblock pavers are laid on top of a bedding sand layer atop the concrete foundation. The decision to lay the paving rigid instead of as permeable blocks was to ensure the car park drains laterally into the rain gardens and not down vertically into the poorly draining subsoil. Ensuring maximum filtration through the sedimentation traps and root stems, and creating a barrier between polluted runoff and the wider pedosphere.
