Rasau Boardwalk - Jurong Lake Gardens - Singapore
Back to the Singapore posts as I have a clutch in the reserve. A favourite visit of mine Situated along the edge of Jurong Lake, the Rasau Walk is a 300m boardwalk that winds through clusters of Nibong palms (Oncosperma tigillarium), Red Sealing Wax Palm (Cyrtostachys renda), and Rasau (Pandanus spp.).
Based around a restored freshwater swamp, the Rasau Walk showcases over 50 species of plants, all traditionallyt found in naturally occurring Singapore freshwater swamp forests.
The details in the baorwalk construction were some of my favorite from the trip, with the colour of the wood texture surface complementing the rusted toe barrior. The fact that the boardwalk doesn't have a handrail is another feature I am partial too, as you feel far more connected to the surrounding landscape.
